✨ Crafting My Confidence: How One Candle Changed Everything

If we dare to dream big and apply pressure to our purpose, we can align our outer life with the brilliance that’s been hiding inside us all along. Crafting confidence sounds crazy right? But that is exactly what I did!

🌟 The Teacher Shows Up When the Student Is Ready

There’s an old saying:
“When the student is ready, the teacher appears.”
Babyyyy, let me tell you—I couldn’t agree more.

I thought I had accepted certain situations in my life. I thought they had no power over me anymore. I thought I was good.

Then one day, while scrolling Facebook (yes, looking at food posts and recipe reels 😅), I landed in a candle-making group.
I didn’t join it intentionally. I wasn’t seeking healing. I didnt know that I had lost my confidence in myself at first. I wasn’t even looking to make a candle.

But something about that group felt… different. It felt empowering. It gave me the courage to try something new and different.

 The Unexpected Spark That Lit Me Up

The group had just switched administrators. The new one? She showed up with purpose—bold, affirming, and real.
She didn’t sugarcoat anything, but her words were powerful. Uplifting. Direct. Healing.

I began watching her lives passively at first. Then she posted a supply list:

“If you want to try making a candle, here’s what you’ll need…”

And I thought, Why not? Little did I know, I was slowly rebuilding my confidence.

🕯️ The First Candle That Changed My Life

Sis… I made that candle.
And it was ugly 😂

I was convinced it would be the most beautiful candle the group had ever seen. But baby… that wax said not today.

Still, despite the bumps and crooked wick—it burned beautifully.

That lil’ ugly candle brought me peace.
It shifted my focus from what was broken around me… to what I could still build inside me.

And it smelled amazing—like banana pudding. The whole bathroom and hallway were lit up with joy. That was the moment I felt proud again.

💫 Crafting Isn’t Just Cute. It’s Healing.

That spark pushed me deeper. I began participating in the group, asking questions, researching wax types, wick sizes, fragrances—you name it.

Candle-making became my therapy.

It reminded me that I didn’t have to be perfect to be proud of my progress.
Just like my healing… my candle wasn’t pretty, but it had purpose.
